SASH Sunday

Thursday 15th March 2018

Pleased to say our event raised just over £400 on the day

It was a full day of great live music across two venues - Lendal cellars and The Golden Lion in York.

It can be said the day did not dawn bright and fair, but with over 20 acts playing to entertain a generous public that came out despite the terrible weather.

Like all live music events you can nver know what will happen on the day, we had Quiet Eyes and Lobo lex travelling through terrible conditions but despite arrivng late treated us to sets of songs to enjoy. Some technical issues threatened to spoil the day but various people founf the equipment at short notice to see us through.
It was actually Tom McKenzie that kicked us off around 1:30pm at Lendal Cellars with Claire Catherine at The Golden Lion. We were soon joined by KAYA and Charlie Swainston.

We soon got into the bands with The Feds, Tomorrow Is Lost, Sicarios, The Shaks, 9Bar and many, many more giving of their best whilst it was all being broadcast live by Two Rivers Radio https://www.facebook.com/TwoRiversRadio with interviews of the performers and pictures taken by HMGW https://www.hmgw.co.uk/

Massive thanks to everyone involved who helped set up, serve drinks, broadcast, sound engineer, ferry equipment and do all the hard work on the day SASH were throughly delighted with our efforts.
